George Newson is a thirty-seven-year-old Londoner who has been studying in the United States. His new piece is based upon his recently published part-song O western wind and is scored for a chorus divided into three sections and a Bach-sized orchestra divided into two sections. The work was commissioned by the London Bach Society.
