Andrew Davis
Andrew Davis has conducted several of the world's great orchestras - in Vienna, Boston and New York. Today he talks to Joan Bakewell about two orchestras in particular. For 13 years he was music director of the Toronto
Symphony Orchestra, and more recently he became principal guest conductor of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. While in Toronto he also continued his work as a performer and recorded a song recital with the Canadian contralto
Maureen Forrester. With music by Roman, Schumann, Strauss and Janacek.
