IN OTHER GARDENS

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

R. Hay
This evening's gardening talk is to be given by the author of an authoritative book entitled 'Annuals'. Mr. Hay, son of the Superintendent of the Central Royal Parks and Gardens in London, has, like his father, given several broadcast talks with C. H. Middleton. Many listeners will remember the two talks he gave on annuals and the one on seeds to sow in the summer. He was for many years with a leading wholesale seed firm and has just left them to join the editorial staff of The Gardener's Chronicle. In his talk this evening he is to speak on annuals as a fait accompli. He will describe some of the effects he has seen this summer while listeners are still able to see for themselves some of the very flowers he is describing. He will give a resume of the gardener's efforts during the current season.
