A RECITAL

on Regional Programme Scotland

View in Radio Times

by Joan Alexander (soprano)
Joan Alexander is rather a rarity a singer who is very fond of accompanying other singers. She studied music at the age of six, and four years later she had actually embarked on a career as an accompanist. At the Scottish National Academy of Music she first won a scholarship and then the Bach and Broadwood medals. Scottish listeners who have seen some of the Academy's operatic productions will remember her fine playing of the harpsichord.
