Readings from recent volumes of verse, introduced by G. S. Fraser
Readers: Josephine Burge, Anthony Jacobs, Guy Kingsley Poynter
Mr Fraser discusses the work of a number of American poets: recent volumes by Marianne Moore and Elizabeth Bishop, and two books by younger writers, The Toy Fair by Howard Moss and The Diamond Cutters and Other Poems by Adrienne Cecile Rich. He also comments on two recent books of English verse: Selected Poems by Lawrence Durrell and A Case of Samples by Kingsley Amis, who reads his own poems.
