Here and Now

on BBC One London

The current-affairs show presented by Juliet Morris.

Home Alone. More than 1,000 children and teenagers under 18 years of age have arrived in Britain this year as lone refugees, unaccompanied by their families or any other adult. They are often traumatised by experiences of war and civil conflict, and need social and financial support, which is not always forthcoming. Anastasia Cooke finds out what life is like for refugee children who are alone in Britain.
Plus a report from Chris Choi on the dangers posed by huge and powerful Chinese fireworks which can be bought over the counter with no restrictions.
