starring Bette Davis , Henry Fonda Bette Davis won her second Oscar for her performance as Julie, the spoilt Southern belle-a part Warners gave her to make up for not letting her play Scarlett O'Hara-in this story set in the era of Gone With the Wind. As the self-willed Julie she eventually provokes the death of one of her rival suitors in a duel, earning herself the name of Jezebel.
