Secret Nature

on BBC One London

The Wall
The fifth of six programmes in which Andrew Cooper explores the natural history of a Devon farm.
Walls are more than just piles of stone. They divide the land and provide shelter for both man and wildlife. The house martin nests on them; hedgehogs forage along them; stoats, spiders and shrews hunt all over them; lizards, snakes and bees all make their homes in them; flowers, mosses and lichens give them colour, and age their character.
