For some time Mr. Green has been working on a biography of Henry Wise (1653-1738), gardener to Queen Anne. In this talk he speaks about Wise's work in the royal parks and gardens. Contrary to popular belief, says Mr. Green, the formal garden of the time had qualities of unexpectedness and variety.
