Carolina on 17 February 1970 at 3.40am, the operator took an emergency call for an ambulance and MPs to rush to the quarters of Captain
MacDonald, medical officer in the GreenBerets. Reaching the house, they made a horrifying discovery - MacDonald's s wife and daughters had been brutally slain and he himselt wounded by their killers. The investigation was to be one of the most extraordinary in American legal history - was MacDonald the victim or the perpetrator of this terrible, apparently motiveless, crime?
