A Running Commentary by J. A. Busher and J. P. O'Farrell on the Snooker Match between Seamus Fleming, Irish Free State Champion, and W. Lowe, Northern Ireland Champion, at the 'Commercial Club, Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin
This will be the first time a running commentary has been given on a snooker match in Ireland. In the Irish Free State snooker is rapidly becoming a popular game; some say, in fact, that it is even replacing billards. Seamus Fleming, the Irish Free State champion, has held the title ever since 1932 and his opponent, W. Lowe, has been Northern Ireland champion from 1935. Two commentators will deal with the match, and they will have a microphone on each side of the table. J. A. Busher is a well-known billiard and snooker player, and his colleague, J. P. O'Farrell, is the sports writer on the staff of the Irish Independent.
