Drama: Casualty
8.05pm BBC1
All human life turns up in Accident and Emergency eventually, but why do they all have to be there on the same day? It's a busy episode for viewers, too, with the pace rarely letting up. The slick dovetailing of stories means that there is enough incident here to set up some major plotlines for the future.

House officer Sean is ready to take it all in his stride, but the pressure gets to him. Chloe chooses a bad moment to put her policeman boyfriend on the spot as consultant Max is called away. Max is keeping a cool, calm exterior and his colleagues don't have an inkling of his troubles with his son.
