The first of two programmes about the plight of people whose dream homes have become nightmares.

Tonight, homes ruined by subsidence and coastal erosion. The Whitfields left suburbia to build a new house in the country, but soon the structure was sinking.
In eastern Britain, the sea is eating the coastline, reducing homes to rubble.
