Conducted by Michael Krein , with George Pizzey (baritone)
George Pizzey , who has been broadcasting for upwards of twenty years, studied with Eugene Goossens , the late Professor Frederic King , and the late Victor Beigel. He has a repertoire that includes not only the bulk of the standard compositions, but a wide range of the more scholarly and difficult works by composers of yesterday and to-day.
Pizzey was for a time the ' mystery straight singer ' with Henry Hall during that band-leader's first BBC season in 1932. He has appeared in television and also before the microphone and on the concert platform with the Barrington Quartet.
