Robert Lowell was born in 1917 in Boston. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1947. He has published one book of verse in England, 'Poems, 1938-1949.' "The Quaker Graveyard in Nantucket" is an elegy for 'Warren Winslow, Dead at Sea.' "The Ghost" is an 'imitation' of Sextus Propertius.
