Presented by David Dimbleby
Saddam's Iraq ,
When the Israelis struck at Iraq's nuclear reactor they turned the spotlight on a would-be leader of the Arab world still virtually unknown in the West.
But in Iraq, Saddam Hussein is overwhelming. On posters, radio, television and in person, the President is everywhere, a Big Brother to love or fear. Saddam Hussein distributes the oil wealth generously, but every year he executes political opponents by the hundred.
Richard Lindley's report includes the first television interview with Saddam Hussein, who explains why he has become the most ruthless leader in the Arab World.
