John Butcher and Steve Noble
This week's show features a session by two of the UK's leading improvisers: John Butcher (saxophone) and Steve Noble (percussion). Butcher is the leader of a generation of saxophone players who have taken on board the extended techniques pioneered by Evan Parker , and Steve Noble is a veteran of Derek Bailey 's Company Festival and the Hans Koch Big Band. Presented by Jez Nelson , who also presents his monthy roundup of new contemporary jazz releases.
