Race Against Time
The last few weeks have seen outbreaks of trouble between blacks and police in some inner city areas. Two years ago Lord Scarman said racial prejudice and harassment of blacks by police were prime causes of the summer riots.
Have relations improved since then, or could serious disorder again develop? Tonight Peter Taylor assesses the effect of new ' human awareness ' training given to' young officers, and a special Panorama survey analyses to what extent blacks and whites are treated differently by the police.
