Unless you're a bit of a celebrity anorak there is no point tuning in to an awards ceremony unless it is to gawp at the outfits or wait for a VIP to have a soon-to-be-regretted drunken outburst. Mix booze with heavy rock and you get tonight's live event. I have high hopes for some kind of disgraceful incident as the ceremony attracts the likes of Marilyn Manson, Iggy Pop, the Sex Pistols and Papa Roach. Last year Green Day set fire to their table, Jordan set fire to her hair and, rather weirdly, Lionel Blair just came along for the craic. Jane Anderson
