Play on One: Gas and Candles

on BBC One London

Written by Jimmy McGovern , author of the critically-acclaimed Gunpowder Plot drama Traitors. The second in this series of six new plays written for television is a black comedy about two pensioners striking back as they struggle to survive in a high-rise flat. A tin of salmon triggers a chain of events which changes their lives. The key to this intriguing tale is the identity of 'Mr Shah '. See panel below.
