Bob Handman is a shy, introspective young man living in a one-room apartment, immersed in a world of music. When he meets Doreen at the Mozart concert he makes a date with her-and then anxiously seeks advice from Ted, his best friend and an experienced lady-killer. Ted suggests an intimate dinner in Bob's apartment - with himself in attendance to stage-manage the proceedings!
