DR. WILSON was born at Pinchbeck in Lincolnshire in 1869. He studied at the Royal College of Music under Sir Walter Parratt , Sir Frederick Bridge and Mr. Algernon Ashton. From 1890 to 1894 he was Organ Scholar at Keble College, Oxford, and, after some time at St. Asaph and Ely Cathedrals, he became organist at Manchester Cathedra], which appointment he still holds.
