Although it seemed in the late 70s that punk was to kill off the likes of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and the Strawbs, they are all still recording, touring and breaking new ground. With the appearance of today's young folk rock groups such as the Levellers, the Tansads and many others, is there a future for a music strongly rooted in tradition?
