A film series starring Dan O'Herlihy as Dr. Sardius McPheeters and Kurt Russell as his son Jaimie in tales of adventure along the California gold rush trail of '49.

The sole survivor of an Indian battle, accused of cowardice, is given a chance to prove his bravery when the caravan is attacked by the same Indians.
