Comedy: Have I Got News For You 9.00pm BBC1
After 19 series of poking fun at the good, the bad and anyone else who has appeared in the media, the satire show has finally been moved to BBC1. The change of channel seems unlikely to have any impact because if there is one show that has settled on the perfect form and personnel, this is it. Angus Deayton is due to roll out the familiar challenges to regulars Paul Merton and Ian Hislop. It is the guests - not known at the time of writing - who potentially bring an extra edge. Let's hope for some women to crush the boors and over-confident politicians who think they can compete for laughs with the regulars. But what a standard the programme-makers have to maintain - will anyone ever match the tub of lard? GE
