A musical reminiscence
Devised and composed by Charles Tovey , with extra lyrics by Pete Warren and Rod Arden
Accompanied by the Dance Orchestra, conducted by Billy Tement
Presented by Michael North
In ' Star-Gazing ', in ' Cafe-au-Laye ', in broadcasts of Bitter-Sweet and of her last Cochran show Lights Up, Evelyn Laye has shown how she will take a programme like this in her stride. From musical comedy she evolved into the artist who can do anything and everything superbly, whether it be principal boy, cabaret or revue artist, or just her charming self, Chairman of the Naval section of ENSA, and entertaining incomparably from a Naval dockyard somewhere in Britain.
