For the Kurds, New Year's
Day falls on 21 March. To mark the Newroz festivities, traditional Kurdish songs and dances are sung and played by Aziz Sharoukh and the Mawlana Ensemble from Mahabad in Iran, and by Osey Sultan and his ensemble from the immigrant Kurdish communities living in the Republic of Georgia.
