Paul Guinery celebrates the 50th anniversary of the foundation of Sir
Thomas Beecham 's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. As well as BBC archive recordings from the forties and fifties, there are reminiscences from musicians associated with the orchestra and its inimitable founder.
And the voice of Beecham himself introduces some of his favourite works.
