Jazz meets orchestral music in tonight's concert, as saxophonist Joe Lovano joins the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for Mark-Anthony Turnage 's saxophone concerto Man Descending. For the centrepiece, jazz musicians Joe Lovano , John Scofield , Peter Erskine and John Patitucci perform music from each other's repertoire. Plus Turnage's Scorched, an orchestration of free jazz for trio and chamber orchestra based on tunes by guitarist John Scof ield.
