Listeners with long memories may remember two programmes of ballet music played by the BBC Theatre Orchestra in 1934 .'and 1938, which were introduced by one of the most delightful and famous of all Russian dancers, Lydia Lopo kova. Tonight she introduces the first of a new series in which she herself will appear, to tell of the dances she has danced and the dancers with whom she has worked during her career. Tonight's programme includes music from Casse Noisette, Swan Lake, The Firebird, Prince Igor, and La Boutique Fantasque.
