A Survey of Forestry in Great Britain
The Forestry Commission and the Future
A discussion between Sir Roy Robinson , Patrick Abercrombie , and J. W. C. Agate
In the final broadcast in this series, Sir Roy Robinson , its Chairman, will state the case of the Forestry Commission, and his critics will be two persons who are sceptical of the Government's policy from the aesthetic point of view and the trade point of view respectively. They will discuss the problem of State forests of conifers, which are neither indigenous nor natural to the English landscape, the question of afforestation in such districts as the lakes, and the general problem of the future shortage of hardwood timber.
