London-based Acoustic Ladyland use Jimi Hendrix 's compositions as a launch-pad to Coltraneinfluenced post-bop improvisations. The group is led by saxophonist Pete Wareham , with Tom Herbert (bass), Tom Cawley
(piano) and Seb Rochford (drums). And Jez Nelson reviews the best new CD releases.
