Appeal on behalf of the Christian Alliance cf Women and Girls, by Lady Dobbie
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to [address removed]
The Christian Alliance of Women and Girls works mainly through clubs, hostels, and holiday homes, and in thas way helps women and girls physically, mentally, and spiritually. Young girls enjoy happy evenings in the clubs, while the older women, often forgotten in the drive for youth, are also welcomed. Accommodation is provided for students and business girls, as well as for some who might otherwise be eking out a lonely existence in a bed-sitting room. Holidays too, at reasonable cost, mean for many refreshment, encouragement, and new friends. Improved club premises are needed, also more hostels, but prices are high and equipment is expensive. Unless additional income is forthcoming, work in certain places will have to close down.
