The British Wireless for the Blind Fund makes this appeal on Christimas Day for funds to provide wireless sets for the blind of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Every ye'ar more than four thousand new sets are needed. In addition to the large number required for the newly blinded (approximately seven thousand adult men and women lose their sight every year) applications to the Fund for sets to replace those worn out through long years of constant use show a steady annual increase.
