AIMS

on BBC One London

Ambition, Ideas, Motivation, Success
In August 1987, Bill Wyman's Mobile - a 48-track recording studio housed in a truck - rolled into Norwich on the first stage of a gruelling five-month, five-city tour, recording the music of talented young bands. From 145 submitted tapes, ten bands from the eastern counties were given free use of professional equipment and skilled staff to record their own material, with the additional promise that one of them might be selected to perform with Wyman at the Albert Hall, London.
AIMS charts the course of those ten bands and makes a record of Bill Wyman's first AIMS project.
