But over the past two years a French cameraman, Antoine Fournier , posing as a tourist, has without official permission filmed the everyday lives of two Chinese families living in Canton. During his three visits Fournier gained their friendship and confidence. As a result they talked to him with increasing frankness about their lives and the society they live in. Producers
