From Blackball Parish Church, Edinburgh. Conducted by the Minister, the Rev. J.G. Matheson

How is it that even in the most dismal hours of human history we still keep on hoping? We dream of the Parliament of Man, or the classless society, or the City of God. Where do those hopes come from and will they ever be realised? In this series of services leading up to Christmas, Mr. Matheson states the Christian faith that Christ has come to fulfil those hopes that are as old as humanity. He is the desire of all nations.
