Diary of a Principal Private Secretary

on BBC Radio 4 FM

A. J. Sylvester was a friend and confidant of David Lloyd
George as well as his Principal Private Secretary, and was one of a small intimate circle of people who knew about Lloyd George 's secret life. Sylvester, now into his 95th year, looks back over that 30-year-long relationship and recalls not only the successes, but also the often troubled private moments in the daily life of the political giant he always addressed as 'LG'.
