The last few years have seen, in the scientific fold, many discoveries that are in the most literal sense revolutionary. The boundaries set to our knowledge are being broken down at a surprising rate, and we find tho scientists telling us bewildering things about the nature of matter itself. In tonight's talk Sir Oliver Lodge will review these enlargements of our knowledge of the universe, and explain what they really imply.
