A Letter to Lilli

on BBC One London

A Jewish doctor and mother of five, Lilli Jahn was condemned to die at the hands of the Nazis after being betrayed by her own Christian husband. While in captivity at the Breitenau labour camp she was in constant correspondence with her children. Their letters resurfaced six years ago, and Lilli's grandson Martin, astonished by what he read, turned her story into a book. In this film Martin and Lilli's eldest daughter Use return to the places where she spent her final years.
