Bertort Brecht: Stages of an Exile

Brecht is generally considered the greatest German dramatist of the 20th century, and possibly the most important German poet of the period. With the rise of the Nazis, Brecht became an exile in stages, moving through Europe to America.
His songs, with music by Hanns Eisler , poems, letters and diaries have been selected by his translator John Willett to chart his journey.
Poems are read by Nadine Gordimer and others.
