This evening's proposition: Provided he keeps the law, a politician's private life should be no concern of the public. It is proposed by Brian Walden. mp (Labour). who, in 1970, presented a Right of Privacy Bill and opposed by John Selwyn Gummer. politician, author of The Permissive Society and formerly a Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party.
Each advocate will call his witnesses, cross-question his opponent's and argue his case so that you. the jury, may reach a verdict.
