Into the Garden

on BBC Radio 3

For the last 45 years, the gardens of Bramdean House have been opened to the public for eight days each year under the National Gardens Scheme.
The current owner - Mrs Victoria
Wakefield, whose mother created the garden - shows Hugh Walters the three huge "rooms" which soar away from the back door of her Georgian house, with the free-standing herbaceous borders and specimens including espaliered rosemary and plum-coloured giant poppies. Rpt
