Anne Nightingale features listeners' letters on almost any subject. Of the programme she says:
'One week it might be a nervous trade unionist. The next, a militant feminist, an argumentative film maker, a Christian punk band spokesman or a black civil rights leader ... There's a hopeful air of unpredictability among Mailbog's live guests.
The letters too reflect what I might call a shrewd bunch of listeners. They have an unnerving habit of seeing right through pretension. An ideally ongoing correspondence situation!
