The 1999 Royal Tournament

on BBC One London

The event regarded by many as the world's greatest military tattoo takes place for the last time after a 119-year run. More than 2,000 men and women from the armed services take part in the final Royal
Tournament at Earls Court in London. Among the favourites featured this evening are the Royal Navy field gun competition and the King's Troop Royal
Horse Artillery musical drive. The tri-service massed bands combine for a spectacular musical send-off.
