For years Stanley Moon , a cook in a hamburger bar, has worshipped a waitress, the lovely Miss Spencer, from afar but has been too shy to let her know. Then one night, after an unsuccessful attempt to end it all, a thoroughly depressed Stanley has an unexpected visitor -the mysterious Mr Spiggott who turns out to be the Devil....
