Wayne Shorter performs tracks from his new album Alegria and reworks some of his classic Miles Davis-era compositions with his quartet featuring the young virtuosos Danilo Perez (piano), John Pattitucci on (bass) and Brian Blade (drums). Now entering his 70th year, Shorter's capacity for virtuosity and invention remains undiminished.
