Jackanory: When Mamie Was There: 1: The Old House

on BBC One London

by Joan G. Robinson
with Ann Bell

Anna walked down to the staithe and watched the boats swing round with the turning tide. Suddenly she had the feeling she was being watched. She turned and looked at the big house, and for a moment thought she saw someone at the window. But she must have been mistaken - the house was supposed to be empty.
