Sagittarius Rising abridged in ten parts from his autobiography and read by Cecil Lewis (1) Author, critic and director Cecil Lewis , was, with Lord Reith, a founder member of the BBC. In those early years he organised the first public symphony concert and the first broadcasts of Shakespeare and Shaw. In the First World War he served in the Royal Flying Corps.
Sagittarius Rising is a description of those years when a schoolboy became a veteran in a completely new kind of warfare.
