Drama on 3: The Cracked Pot

on BBC Radio 3

By Blake Morrison , adapted from Der
Zerbrochen Krugby Heinrich von Kleist. Set in the West Riding market town of Skipton in the early 19th century, the comedy begins when the visiting magistrate from Manchester, Judge Walter , arrives to inspect the court proceedings of roguish club-footed Judge Adam. On this particular day the wigless judge unwittingly unravels more than just the case of the broken jug brought before him.
